How did I Imagen the event going in my head?
When I though about how the gig was going to go in the weeks in the build up I did not Imagen it going as well as it did. I though we would get a fairly small amount of people and maybe fill the crowd are by the bar. I was very happy to see you could hardly get n the door at the venue. I imaged that we were going to have a bit more time to do the sound checks but we were lucky enough to have a good sound man there to help us out witch
meant we got them all done in time although they were a bit rushed.
How could we have improved the planning proses in the weeks and months in the build up to the gig?
One of the things that I think we could have improved a lot in the build up to the gig is the organisation and the communication between the group. Things like who was getting what job done and when. I think that we could have worked more officiant to have met the deadlines that we set ourself s when planning. I think that I could have worked more effectively to have booked the venue sooner, therefore releasing all some of the pressure and meaning that we could have go outer things like the posters and the acts booked sooner because there is not way of doing those things without knowing when and where the gig was being held.
Over all i think the main thing that caused us problems and hold backs in the proses of booking and organising was the way we left things to the last minute. Thankfully we got everything we need to doe in the end. The things like, The venue booked with the time and date, the posters out and the social networking up and running. We did a good job with all of the kit that we needed for the show to. We did all of the required heath and safety things so that there was no way of anyone tripping over so we did meet all of the different parts of planning a good music event however it was rushed at the end and that could have been avoided.
What was successful in the planning and the build up and the gig itself?
There were so many things that I thought were successfully in the gig and in the planning proses. These are things like how we all came together doing our different rolls and towards the end really focused on the task at hand and did our best AS A TEAM to fix the problems and to assure everything was done to a high standard. This attention to detail paid of in the end because we put on lots of great performances and we filled the whole pub. We got the crowd involved and the crowd donated money to the charity's so over all the gig was very successful.
I think one of the things that was very social networking was very successful because we had 50 people who had joined the facebook group and said they wore coming. That was probably around half the cord because people clearly told there friends about it and that was great because we had a much bigger crowd that expected.
Time-scales
As I have mentioned above a few times out time scales were a bit of we did leave a lot of the important parts of the planning roses till the last possible time. This did cause a lot of stress in the last few weeks but we did pull through as a team and we did make it work.
Did we work well as a team?
Yes we did. We have to admit we did get of to a shaky start and we didn't get the jobs done quick enough but we came together as a team to fix that at a later stage and that dose show teamwork and we can be very happy about that because we proceed that we are a good team and even tho our organisation let us down to begin with we can do it!
Was the final product appropriate to the audiences?
We can be sure to say yes because we have had good feedback about that. Another reason is because in the planning proses we made a lot of effort to put together a line up of music that had a bit of everything. A line up that Has very versatile and a wide range of people would like from young to old. We had rock, jazz, acoustic, singer-songwriter. And our sets were ranged over older periods of music and more modern music and originals so we can be sure to say yes.
Was the event a commercial success?
Yes the event was a commercial success. I can say this so confidently because... the land lord of the pub was happy and said that we came in and set up very professional. He was selling drinks so he was happy, we made him money and we made £100 for the charity's. We engaged and got the audiences involved and they enjoyed the gig, I know this because a lot of my fiends were there and i asked them after if they did enjoy the gig and they did.
Artistically successfully?
The event was artistically successfully because we as the artists and the outer bands all went on stage and did themselves proud, putting on great performances ad playing very well. We all god very positive feedback about our performances and we have all had a good boost in confidence because of it.
